I am Sara Woelfel, a master’s student of Political Science at FSU Jena, specializing in Global & European Governance. Through Jessup, I’m excited to apply my passion for international law in a competitive and practical setting. I am looking forward to discussing and mastering complex legal issues with my teammates. Outside academics, you’ll find me in the gym weightlifting – or lost in an exciting novel.

  • Theo Rühlmann

My name is Theo Rühlmann, and I am currently in my fifth semester of law studies in Bayreuth and Jena. I found passion in the topic of law itself, but since German legal education can feel stifling, I seized the opportunity to study it in a completely different format beyond the confines of national law. This competition unites a highly motivated, diverse team around a common goal and offers a deep dive into a specific topic, which I particularly enjoy. Outside the office, I explore the world as the foodie of the group, often diving into my favorite rabbit hole: coffee

I am Janik Morgner, a fifth-term law student at FSU Jena. The Jessup Moot Court is an opportunity to unite my passion for debate with my interests in international law and politics. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate and look forward to the challenging yet rewarding process of research and argumentation. Especially working as a team - exchanging ideas, learning from one another, developing creative solutions to complex questions - excites me. Beyond law, I am passionate about marathon running - which has taught me valuable lessons in patience, endurance, and discipline - and tapirs, the best animals in the world.

My name is David Adebusoye, and I am pursuing my second Master’s degree in International Organizations and Crisis Management at FSU Jena, specializing in humanitarian interventions, peace and conflict resolution, crisis governance, and international law. Through my experience at the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DTAC) and the New Israel Fund–Shatil, I gained practical exposure to diplomacy, peacebuilding, and human rights projects. Recently, I joined my faculty in a study trip to the United Nations in Geneva, where I engaged with institutions such as the UNHRC, OCHA, and the ICRC. This experience deepened my understanding of how international law functions in real-world crises. As a member of the Jessup Jena team, I look forward to sharpening my legal research and advocacy skills while contributing to global arguments on international law before simulated courts.
