International Lawyers and the Uses of History: The Historiographical Turn in Perspective

Professor Obregón, S.J.D. (Harvard), ist Professorin und Leiterin des LL.M.-Studiengangs für internationales Recht an der juristischen Fakultät der Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá. Neben dem Harvard-Abschluss hat sie Abschlüsse u.a. der Universidad de los Andes und der Johns Hopkins University. Sie arbeitete an der Harvard University und am Erik-Castrén-Institut an der Universität Helsinki. Im Jahr 2019 war sie Senior Research Fellow in der Forschungsgruppe "The International Rule of Law - Rise or Decline?" in Berlin. Sie ist Mitglied des Beirats der Zeitschriften Third World Approaches to International Law Review, Journal of the History of International Law und einer Reihe weiterer Zeitschriften. Zu ihren aktuellen Publikationsprojekten gehören das Oxford Handbook on International Law in the Americas sowie die Bücher Writing the World through Law: Lawyers and their International Histories 1750–1870 und Creole Interventions in International Law: Andrés Bello, Carlos Calvo und Alejandro Álvarez (1830–1960).
